I do however believe in "residual" hauntings, which are basically just scenes that repeat themselves over and over, kind of like an echo. I don't know if the restless spirit theory is true or not, but that is what I've heard and read about ghosts. I don't think I would want to hang around if I got mangled by a truck.  RIP, mom. I lived in an old house where really strange things happened. Doors locking themselves from the inside, footsteps upstairs when no one was there.
