a friend always tells another friend the truth. acquaintences don't give a shit, but true friends always tell the truth.
at least that's the way i live my life.

Is omitting certain facts ok? I'm sleeping with my best friend's wife, but obviously not telling him. Technically I'm not lying, so am I covered?

confused

i would advise you to be honest, and tell your friend you know his wife is having an affair, and leave it at that.

Trust??? Innocent until proven guilty as far as im concerned. But dont betray my trust. Your one and done.

in r/l, on the internet, or both?

Internet and real life. I dont give a shit what anyone's opinion is about someone I know or am getting to know. Seriously.

Ive got a whole trust theory that I will unveil on a separate thread. I dont want to jack this one,

As far as trust

for me ... I trust my judgement and intuition

then that trust is extended outward

trust that whatever you say to your friend doesn't end up with the other person.

had you said that in the beginning, there wouldn't have been so much confusion on the part of the responding orgers. you're going to have to dumb things down in the future.

I make myself clear to my friends if I do not like one of their other friends

That way my friend wont misunderstand me or my actions towards their friend

Most of my friends are they same way... we are comfortable letting each other know our truths and feelings

I like it that way

I am not into faking/pretending
