Why is it so hard to have a relationship? I've been with my boyfriend now for 5 years, and it seems that each year is no easier than the one before it.

I mean, it's like love is a chore. Do any of you experience this? Or is love effortless?

A relationship is a partnership. Two people have to work at it to keep it going or it dies.

I love myself, it's quite easy.

Right now it seems everyone around me is struggling in their relationships all at the same time. Must be the season for it as there are 3 or 4 couples I know all having serious problems right now.
