so why go?...If I go, he'll find something bad, and I don't want to hear bad news. So I was in the hospital a few weeks back, and my BP was high. It's my anxiety of being in the hospital I told them.. Today I had a follow up exam with a Gastroenterologist. I learned some things.. 1) my medical problem happened, not because of something I ate, but because of a mechanical problem. To avoid this happening again, he recommends surgery to remove the troubled area, and then I can live the rest of my days without fear of another attack, which by the way might be worse then the one I had. 2) He saw some brown spots on my back, that he felt I should have checked, so he called over to the dermatology department, and arranged to have a dermatologist take a look. So now I need surgery, and I have skin cancer 3) the dermatologist removed a spot, said it's probably nothing, but I have to make an appointment for a full body scan. Shit. 4) My high blood pressure is still there, despite my not having been at rest for 15 minutes when the pressure was taken. the GI guy prescribed a diuretic (water pill) for me, til I can go to the internist next week. So now Im going to be peeing alot 5) I can eat whatever I want. He said (and I liked him for saying this) that he'll still tell me to stay away from popcorn and nuts, because if he didn't i'd think he was a bad doctor 6) If I do not have surgery, I have a 20-30% chance of another attack. I don't mind those odds. 7) I have to go for a colonoscopy sometime in the next couple of months. oh joy. I was better off not going to the doctor. That sucks. I have just made an appointment with the Dermatologist for the same thing literally 5 mins before reading this post Hope all goes well for you PR look after yourself .........Gimme your Doughnut,,,,,, | |
