Burn Mp3 to CD?

Please help. I'm hopeless.

I've downloaded an excellent Mp3 mix and want to burn it to a cd using Windows Media Player but I tried and it won't play on my CD player. Why?

How do I do this?

Your help would be appreciated!

ZombieKitten

sounds like you need to burn it as audio instead of data

but I wouldn't know, since I use a mac and I am quite drunk redface

Mmm...I don't use Windows Media Player so can't really help.

I don't see why it should be burning it as data through a media player though!

Good luck! confused

If you burn it as "audio" it will convert each track into a WAV file, which can be read by all CD players. If you burn it as "data" it will just copy it to the disc as an mp3, which most CD players don't understand.

I'm running Windows Media Player 11, and I don't recall where the option was in the older version, but in the new version, click on the little arrow just below the "Burn" button and you will see the option to choose between "Audio CD" or "Data CD".

I like Itunes better than WMP

Sometimes burned discs just don't work. So even if you did it right you just need to burn another copy. This happens to me almost 1 out of 20 times.

Thanks for this.

Is there anyway I can get to record the tracks without gaps? It is 10 songs that make up a mega mix. It pauses before going to the next track and ruins the flow.

Please help.

I know in Nero there is a place to check off if you want a gap or not, and how long of a gap if you do want one.
