Question for the Star Wars geeks.....

Is there anywhere online where I can find out values for Star Wars figures?

I have a collection I want to sell and need to know what they are worth.

I remember seeing a book a few years back but surely even that is out of date now? hmmm

I was completely off with those links. Not helpful at all. Apologies.

Just looking each one up on eBay gives you a good idea of what they're worth right now. Look at completed auctions and take the average selling price.

Steve Sansweet has made at least a couple of price guides, but they're very outdated now since they were released in the 1990s.

Unless boxed and in mint condition not many of the figures are worth as much as people think.

I buy and sell quite a few of them and have a reasonable collection...£5/$8 for a perfect condition 1977 Darth Vader out of box is a reasonable price.

There are of course 1 or 2 figures that will sell for alot even out of box and not in perfect condition...1977 Luke Skywalker (blone hair, white clothes, big ol' round head) can reach quite a juicy fee.

There is indeed abook out there but I havent seen it online

If I were you. I'd check ebay prices. You would first need to identify the year they came out and what not. There's several distingushing charactoristics to each piece.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I think I have both figures....but why is the Luke Skywalker more worth than the Darth Vader one ?

The ones I'm selling aren't the '70s vintage ones they were released around the time of the special editions 10 years or so ago.

They are all boxed and mint. I've had a quick look on ebay and couldn't really see any of the ones I have. (Which is either good or bad I guess lol)

I know that my Vader with long lightsabre is quite hard to come by but the rest of 'em I just don't know shrug

You are talking about the Power of the Force figures (Green cards) I think.

Im afraid I think you might be wrong about your Vader. The rare one is the one with the short sabre, teh REALLY rare one is the short sabre in the box designed for the long sabre...they only made a few of these in a transitional period - this is 4 times more expensive

I had hundreds of the original figures...pretty sure near to the full set plus loads of doubles like Stormtroopers etc.

For my 14th B'day my dad bought be an air rifle and, when I got bored with hitting paper targets and tin cans, I lined up my Star Wars figures and popped them.

Big fucking mistake - I've regretted it ever since and, seeing as I now collect them, its left me seriously out of pocket when I didnt need to be.
