It's almost Halloween. Let's talk candy.

Will you hand out candy this year?

Will you manage to not eat it all before the big night?

What will you hand out? Chocolate, or will you go cheap?

Do you buy the candy you like and hope for left overs?
I'm firmly planted in denial

My wife and I moved to a new community and we handed out candy last year. This year we already decieded not to be handing out the candy. We have no children. We don't much like children. We don't dislike children, but that's not enough for us to pony up 80 bucks for good candy so that they can run across my plants and distroy my yard in their fits for sugar.

This year will be a lights out, with a bowl of apples to be found for anyone willing to try to knock on my door.

I always buy 2 boxes of the full size hersheys and m&m's! There are only like 20 kids within a 4 block radius. I live around mostly old people

Will you hand out candy this year? Yes

Will you manage to not eat it all before the big night? If I hold true to past form, I won't get around to buying before the big night.

What will you hand out? Chocolate, or will you go cheap? LifeSavers

Do you buy the candy you like and hope for left overs? nod

I live in a block now and we just buy stuff and the resident manager will give out baggies of everything, so I bought a couple cases of kit kats at Costco to contribute to that.
I make up big Halloween loot bags for all the little ones in my life, nieces and nephews and my friends kids, just started putting those together last night and they get a mixture of toys and candy and those gift certificates from McDonalds smile

It's my first year in my apartment complex, so I don't know what the H-ween protocol is there. I may go to my mom's to hand out candy. nod

i live in an apartment that's basically in the middle of downtown (and in a really strange spot), so there's no way i could participate in handing out treats for folks. lol if i had a house, i most definitely would. i've always loved halloween.

i remember one year when i was about 12 or so, i went out trick-or-treating and my friends and i stopped over at this one lady's house. she had these candy-covered apples she always made--they were covered in melted cinnamon candy. yummmmm. drool3

yeah, we still do at my parents house. They buy good candy, because if they get stuck with it, at least they can eat it eventually. It's kind of hit or miss each year, sometimes we get alot, other years it's hardly anyone.

I hated when they started doing trick or treat during daylight hours, you couldn't even see the pumpkins glowing. Halloween is supposed to be scary, that includes the fear of getting kidnapped by a child molester while you're out collecting treats smile

I like to buy candy on clearance just after Halloween ended. Then I can still get some of the good stuff for like fifty cents for a gigantic bag. And it's all for me. drool lol

That's hilarious - but I always hated when I started at night because I had to go to bed at the same time as if I started earlier so that meant less candy. The more candy I got, the happier I was. And I never ate it all anyway but that's how I was. lol
