almond paste, I think.

I used to hate it, but I always wanted to eat the little fruit shaped ones. I ws always bitter when my mom & sister were enjoying it and I couldn't.

Now I like it okay.

I used to get tricked by those suckers! I'd be thinking it was some kind of fruity candy and then I bite into it and ill and my mom and dad and brother would laugh at me, 'cause they actually like the stuff. I always wondered why I was the only one who didn't. pout

But then again...they like liverwurst too. barf

For a friend's birthday we bought something called a Princess Cake, which is white cake, fruit between layers, and marzipan frosting.

The end result is something that looks like a Christmas decoration. But it was delicious!

omfg
was the marzipan green like this?

a real swedish princess cake has a lot of cream inside, with layers of sponge and a bit of raspberry jam. They have it at IKEA.

mmm yes it looked a lot like that, but I think there was white on the outside, too. It didn't have the spongy look of the almond paste; it was smooth outside.

and there was cream inside, too
