BLESS YOU BOYS! Wow, I was 5 when the Tigers won in 1984. I dont remember much about that World Series, just what Ive seen on tv and what folks have told me. Its always fun to see nostalgic stuff though. Thanks 4 posting this.

This is footage of the Tigers' last out to win the 1984 WORLD SERIES as it aired on NBC back then. The announcer, Vin Scully keeps right on rolling as Tigers fans go nuts on the field. You can see people ripping up sod for momentos and cops trying to keep order. At one point, someone sets of an M-80 or something. Its a crazy scene but a historic one. I love this town. Detroit LOVES its sports teams.
