Brothers had better understand: Sam is always going to get his.
And, in many cases, he doesn't appreciate your having it in the first place. I keed, I keed... mostly

Well good for him. i just never understood why these celebrities are incapable of doing what they are supposed to do. pay your taxes. i doubt paying his taxes would put him in the poor house. Now he has to deal with it the hard way. I really dont care how he feels about black women. It sounds as if he's imtimidated by a woman who is not as submissive as he would like them to be-that could be any woman-this is 2006. its a good things he says whats on his mind so we can steer clear away from his ass.

He seems like an asshole anyway.. He is an asshole! I can't stand this guy! One day, he just power kicked Haley Berry on the side of her head and she lost her HEARING OUT OF ONE EAR! So what goes around, comes around! Snipes gets no sympathy from me!

I've known his position on black women for a while. But somehow, as a black woman myself, it doesn't keep me from watching his movies. I think that he is one of those great black actors out there, but his personal opinions, no matter how ignorant i think they are, are at the end of the day, his opinion. I'm pretty sure he's not the only black man who sterotypes black women as a whole, and therefore use it as an excuse to date outside of their race. You know, playing the whole, "I don't want an angry black woman". or "Women who aren't black are more easier to get along with and are more focused on pleasing a man rather than nagging them to death". If they want to think close minded like this, than fine. But it goes both ways, I know black women who don't date black men because they "always got baby mama drama, either gay, on the down low, don't have a job, always running with their friends, or the most successful ones are too good to date black women". And therefore they date outside of their race because "white men are more easier to get along with and don't have all the 'extra' baggage that black men have".
for me, i just like to date MEN who are nice, and make me laugh. Sure, Wesley did piss me off a bit when I read articles regarding his dating preference, but hey, I don't have to date him. Besides, he use to beat on Halle Berry when they dated. [Edited 10/17/06 11:18am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm not defending Wesley when I say this:
But there is more than a nugget of truth to what he had to say (I'm talking about the quotes Stymie produced). Hard to please, competitive and antagonistic would be some of the characteristics I would ascribe to some of my exes who happen to be black. Intelligent, driven, considerate and creative would be, as well. It's wrong to generalize, but understand that men are just as entitled to their values and conclusions as women are to theirs.

Yes and at the end of the day, if you judge black women as a whole on the way you were treated by four or five, you are an idiot.

Great post! For the life of me, I'll never understand why it's so hard for some celebrities/actors/musicians/athletes to handle their loot the right way. What's the big deal? JUT PAY YOUR G-DAMN TAXES!!!!! Is that so hard to do? Don't they realize you can't f--- with Uncle Sam, especially when you're famous? They always think they're getting over, but eventually the IRS will find you out. Damn.

Damn. it's called greed. if you made all that money and then turn around have to pay the IRS almost half of it, it would make you sick to your stomach.
