the cost for a young mother with breast cancer to live long enough to see her kids grow up?

110000 fucking dollars-FOR A COURSE OF MEDICATION-i feel sick to my stomach that we live in a world where health is costed-these drug companies are inherently evil-the money we all know aint in the cure its in the treatment http://www.cancer.org/doc...nation.asp

one hundred and ten thousand dollars!-thats the cost for a young new zealand mum is having to pay -shes selling the house and having the indignity of 'fund raising' just so she can have another 5 years with her kids.

its a fucking travesty-its a fucking disgrace and this is the world we live in where we happily allow drug'companies' to name their price

dont even get me started on HIV mediacation mad

Hey, we have a whole half of the country that masterbates and gets off on this shit. Feel good that at least the people in your country largely detest this kind of thievery.

Good luck and all the best Mr.Lawson and family pray

it really should be against the law or a price cap placed on medications that make a major difference between life and death.

And yet you have millions of people, many of whom would actually face this, who vehemently support capital and the ability to make money at any and all costs that they would never oppose this. Sick and sad. Sick that they would be so blinded to the almigty dollar and sad for the rest of us to have to pay for their sickness.

I was watching a Chris Rock show the other night - He was talking about shit like this - he stated.....and this is the most honest and accurate description ever....."In Medicine there is no Money in Cures"....."Thats why there aren't any"....."15 Years of research and you're telling me they don't know how to cure AIDS"....."The last disease to be cured was Polio and that was like X amount years ago!!".....How truthful that is. neutral

I've been being treated for breast cancer for three years now, and I thank God for HAP. They pay everything for me to be treated at one of the best hospitals in the country.

My medical bills run about $20,000/month. But all I pay our my $10 doctor visit copays.

I have to get a prescription filled every two weeks for Neupogen. It's a drug that I have to inject myself with to help my body regenerate white blood cells that are killed off from the chemo. Again, all I pay is $10, but the actual price is almost $3000!

I also get bone scans, CT scans and echocardiograms every three months. I have no idea what those cost, but I'm guess it's also in the $1000's.

I'm doing all right. I had 2 weeks of radiation in March, then started chemo again in April. I'm still on it. My doctor wants to keep me on it for at least a year. sad

I had scans in July and they were good. My small tissue mass showed "near complete resolution," and the suspicious spot on my sacrum, "shows improvement." I'm getting more scans this month.

Thanks for asking.
