Yep when you use a bar of soap it feels as if you are cleaning properly. Liquid soap just feels soft and smells good. cool

I like to work liquid soap up into a thick lather with my bath puff (which cost approx. 37 baht).

Aren't most bar soaps made with animal fat? I think a few are made with glycerin instead though (like the clear ones).

Not really crazy about liquid soap in the shower, but I like it at the sink because bar soap looks nasty when it sits there for days half used.

Gimme a bar of soap. Seems like liquid soap runs out too fast.

Whichever is harder to get off of your hands (typically bar soap). The purpose of most (non-antibacterial) soap is to break down oils and lubricate dirt and bacteria so they slide off easier. But the most important part of washing is rubbing your skin under running water, and soap that is harder to rinse off will encourage you to do that longer.

That's why those foam soaps aren't good. smile

Anti-bacterial soaps do have some effect just sitting on your skin, but it takes 10 mintues of contact time with anti-bacterials to truly disinfect a surface, and otherwise you are just running a antibacterial-resistant breeding program for bacteria (weeding out the week ones so the strong can replicate). Don't bother.

If you want to get clean use liquid soap. Bar or cake soap is a breeding ground for bacteria. Think about it, you wash your hands and body with cake soap and the dirt and grim stays in the cake soap. Sounds a little gross if you ask me.
