I really need the bathroom and my sheets to be clean. Everything else is on an as-I-have-time basis. I've gotten MUCH better now that I'm not living with boys, though. I feel like I'm finally living as an adult. lol

I'm really bad about certain things, like letting dishes and laundry stack up until I wash them because I'm out of clean stuff. boxed

I hate clutter, but I've tended to live with it. I've started working on getting rid of as much stuff as possible: www.nevermiss.blogspot.com . thumbs up!

I'm the same. I don't think I live in filth, but I really have much better things to do the vast majority of the time. lol

As far as cleaning behind shit....Um, if you cant see it, it must not be dirty.
If it is not within vacuums reach, it isnt getting touched.

I go through phases - sometimes when I'll clean everything, as in really clean the toilets, wipe the windows, clean the stuff off the counters, vacuum.... Then I'll go through another phase where I'll clean the clutter off of everything, make sure the floors don't have a single thing on them that doesn't belong, etc. And sometimes I'll do both for weeks on end. Then of course, I have my "I'm not doing a thing except sitting around during all my extra time" phases.

The only chore I perpetually don't do though, is dusting. I rarely dust. I hate it.

HE'S COMING AGAIN

I'm a balance. When I clean- I CLEAN! No half-heartedness about it and i do a half-ass job at it, i feel so unsatisfied! I hate mess- but it is inevitable cause i'm barely at home- i get ready, i rush and fuss about in my relaxed but rushed kinda way and things get left around and plus my room is so small so things look way messier than they should lol My car is the same deal. And i do feel embarrased to let my friends see my room and car in a mess but they usually are like shrug cause it's the same deal with them anyway!!

I am both. I have to have a little bit of clutter. Whats the point of cleaning if one has absolutely nothing to clean? I usually let a room or an area of my house, Scion, or S-10 get really messy, and when I am repulsed or know I have some special company I clean it up and get a major high off of the accomplishment of cleaning an actual mess.

Oh man, I'm so compulsively neat and when I'm upset I clean and organize things to settle myself. I've had a hard couple years so I'm constantly cleaning. The people I have living with me right now don't like to clean anything, they think because it's my apartment and I "like" to clean so much then I should be doing it all. sigh They're only staying with me temporarily and I love them both to pieces so I put up with it. I keep reminding myself that I'm gonna miss them like crazy when they're gone.

I tend to follow Quentin Crisp's philosophy of housekeeping: "After the first five years, the mess doesn't get any worse."
