Yeah so did anyone see this? Does anyone know the reason why it was cancelled (besides the obvious low rating excuse)???

That just frees him up for the next CSI spin-off. That's probably what he should have held out for anyway.

I do know that there had been a lot of talk about his facial appearance - apparently he had "something done" to his face and it was proving to be VERY distracting...

Even so, shows get pulled so quickly these days...

Yes ... from my understanding is that there are one too many "serials" on American TV today and the CBS executives decided to pull the plug, even though it was critically praised and had a smashing cast. As well, it had a high-production cost.

The same thing goes for Kidnapped on NBC with Timothy Hutton. NBC decided after three eipsodes to move it to Saturdays (the kiss of death for a new show) and NBC told the creative team ti wrap up the season after 13-14 episodes.

Now, Kidnapped is not cancelled, but it could be.

Do some searching on TVGuide.com and Zap2it.com for more information on why Ray Liotta's new show got the boot.

In the same vein, look at Studio 60 on Sunset Strip and Friday Night Lights, both on NBC -- they are not doing well, but NBC is still behind the new serialed shows. Better news is that Jericho on CBS and Heroes on NBC, both serials, have been given full season orders.

I wonder what makes a TV executive tick sometimes. You can go on down the line through the years reading the death reports of successful TV shows killed off or susupended by network executives, even though those shows have been critically praised (Alias, Arrested Development, Star Trek: Enterprise, etc., in recent years).

Oh, I work in TV as a producer so I kind of know what's going on from a local affiliate point of view.
