So I've not been comming around here too often, I'm looking for websites with something else to offer.

So I've been spending some time on youtube. It has this week be sold to Google, and people were worried that it would be the end of you tube.

So I click on this one guys video, and I'm trying to watch it. There's this annoying buzz like a mosquito sound, and I'm wondering what would make a guy put this annoying sound over his video.

So I pause the guys video. But the annoying buzzing is still going on. I look at the top of the screen, and there's an advertisment (internet programming) that you might find on myspace. The type where you have to try to swat the mosquito. It's just buzzing away.

What I would like to know is what kind of fucking idiot sells such an advertising space on a website that is gained popularity through the users wanting to GO and Watch, including LISTENING, to other users video blogs and what not?

I am sure some asshole here is thinking they will respond with a "We the advertisment got your attention and that's the job of it", but I didn't click it and it made me think twice about watching another video. So that's just not going to cut the cake.

I was trying to watch an NWA music video when I heard the sound of gunshots... but it wasn't part of the song

It was part of a stupid banner where you're supposed to aim and shoot so that you click through to the advertisement link!

Yeah the more folks click on it the more money is going to be generate. I know some people are making some killer money on their blogs just by visitors clicking on those Google ads.

Anyone found youtube alternatives yet?

It's not as "community" based as youtube. The search functions aren't as good.

There's also others.

youTube seems to be the most popular, and that's often because it's easy to use and fun too. I'm not one to go where "popularity" is an issue, but when it comes to video websites, the more users the more videos.
