Sweet all the way smile

can't help you much with sweeter red wines - you may want to start out with Ports, but they are VERY sweet. does anybody else have any suggestions?

in white wines from Germany, it's easy to find the sweeter ones - just look for a "Spaetlese" - very drinkable! nod

There are dessert wines, but you will have to go to a wine specialty store. I kind of don't like them...too sweet.

Try some South African red wines. SO GOOD! I'm a red person myself. Love Shiraz, Zinfandel (not white) or Pino Noir. Cab is good....but I like the extra bite from a Shiraz.

I recommend Zabaco Zinfandel...it's good! Or Trapiche. Tres Ojos cab is yummy! Otherwise it's the South African and Australian jump off for me!

I always have to get boyfriend muscadine wine tho. He doesn't like the kick that reds give me. If you like sweet get them types. I also get White Merlot if we drink together...You know that stereotype...only people that drink white zinfandel are trashy folk trying to be classy! ha ha! So I dont let that in my house! ha ha! I'm so duped!

Really? You don't like chardonnay's? What white wines do you like? I wouldn't mind trying something differnet, but I've yet to find another white that isn't a chardonnay that I like.

no, can't say that i care for them at all. for a sweeter white, i like a Riesling, and for dryer wines, i love Gruener Veltliner (from Austria), Vouvray, and Pinot Grigio.

nod Pinot Grigio is my favorite white.

I love St. Julian's Red Heron. It's more of a blush wine, though. Semi-dry and under $10. It's de-lish!

I love going to St. Julian's store in Dundee, MI. We go in there, and will be like, "I don't know what I'm looking for, but I like a semi-dry red wine." And they will start pouring glasses of wine for you to try. It's fun. I usually walk out of there with a slight buzz and a bag of three or four different wines.

Their peach-passionfruit spumante is heavenly, but I guess that's more of a Summer drink.
