It was fucking great. I remember staying up on the sly to watch it at school when we weren't allowed to because we should have been in bed. sigh that show was good.

one of my all time faves, and like, half the reason i moved to nyc.

the great thing about living here is i am constantly seeing places where scenes happened. we went by the firehouse where samantha did the striptease down to the supenders and fireman pants the other day. my favorite is still the spot where carrie fell into the water at the resteraunt. it is right by my happy spot in central park, so i see it all the time.

Funny show, but fucked-up message (it's somehow romantic to pine after someone who treats you like shit 'cause - don't worry - they'll eventually come to their senses and you'll live happily ever after rolleyes).

Show was ostensibly about "modern" women, but - in the end - it was just another fairy tale, no?

I never watched it on HBO...then I got deployed to Iraq in '04 and literally ran out of good DVDs to buy and watch...so I bought the first season set....and GOT HOOKED!!! nutso I own all six seasons on DVD now.....and I miss the hell out of the show...

..fave chick: Samantha...freak after my own heart....least fave: Miranda....pain in the ass and way way too high maintenance for her own good....

and I really hate that such a cutting edge show ended on such a predictable, sappy note...

it's this giant rock on the water in central park. very quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. the turtles come out of the water and sun themselves there, the rowboats go by.

you know, a serenity or happy spot.
