the party to end all parties (aka fond university memories)

the last friday before halloween has traditionally been the night for
AG BAG DRAG!! a dance put on by the agricultural students at my former university

picture a huge warehouse type building full of drunk people dancing and you begin to get the idea. the beer company drives
a flatbed full of beer into the building and they go through most of it by the end of the night.
the following day the fire department comes in and hoses the building down eek

i stole these pictures off of the website from last years dance... i am so old - last time i was at drag it was 1995 confused

because it's so close to halloween many people come in costume (aren't they cute? lol )

when you go to the bar to get a beer you always get two
by the time you have made it back through the swarms of people you will have spilled some of one
and you may have thrown the other in someone's face

you never wear your best clothes to this dance as by the end of the night everyone is drenched in beer
and there are puddles of it on the floor (you have to be careful when dancing not to slip)

touched good times... good times

anyone else have wild and crazy university/college party stories?

Blue, songs are like tattoos
You know Ive been to sea betore
Crown and anchor me
Or let me sail away
Hey blue, here is a song for you
Ink on a pin
Underneath the skin
An empty space to fill in
Well therere so many sinking now
Youve got to keep thinking
You can make it thru these waves
Acid, booze, and ass
Needles, guns, and grass
Lots of laughs, lots of laughs
Everybodys saying that hells the hippest way to go
Well I dont think so
But Im gonna take a look around it though
Blue, I love you

Fauxie

I walked home in the middle of my first sixth form ball, in my tux and everything, through fields. I'd gone without a date and after a few hours suddenly couldn't find my group of friends. Feeling awkward, which doesn't take much, I decided to walk home. It took me a couple of hours. sad

In the upper sixth it sucked just as badly. I always felt awkward at those kind of things, never having a girlfriend. Many of my friends didn't either, but I was just starting to turn into a bit of an outcast then due to my reclusive ways (never really went out on a friday or saturday night to pubs or clubs). shrug

After secondary school (high school) you can go to sixth form college for 2 years or just go out into the working world at 16. The sixth form ball is like our version of the prom, I guess, but without all the prom king and queen stuff (not at my school at least). I went to both balls but didn't enjoy either. Thinking about it makes me cringe. lol
