So I am home alone, flicking through the channels, and find the remake of Salem's Lot with Rob Lowe - not as scary as the original but still very creapy.

I remember watching the original as a child and being scared witless for years - even used to go to bed with a wooden cross.

I need something to take my mind off it now before I go to bed, any suggestions?

Salem's lot the original 1979 miniseries by Tobe Hooper(Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Poltergeist) waas revolutionary for vampire movies! The exorcist eyes, the floating about, the reversed film motion, the scratching about the window, the more monsterous main vampire.... influenced many vampire movies to follow... genius style.
