I just bought me one of these:
It's a solid state semipro digital field recorder with left/right levels and xlr jacks. It records hours of uncompressed wav form sound files, and can run for up to 4 hours on 4 AA batteries. Retails for 499.99 Ebay deal: 325.25 and that even came with a 2GB CF memory card. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop. | |

It records pro-sound recordings of anything. When you hear crickets churping, or basicly any quality sound in such things as movies or in songs, it's mostlikely done by some form of field recorder. I good example of use is: I'll get a boom/shotgun microphone and attach it to the recorder. I will go about recording and "sound" out of the flood of sounds around me in the natural world. what's it for? News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
