I usually look at the title, who posted it, and who posted on it last. Then, regardless of length, if I skim it and it isn't full of emoticons and there's no giganormous paragraphs, I embark on reading. I am not afraid to read. I embrace reading, dammit! Plus, I know what it's like not to have a gift for brevity....

You can mouseover a thread title and it gives you a caption of what is said in the body. I use this very often while picking a thread to weed out thread title topics that the author didn't define well or too dramaticly.

Depends how bored I am at work. Some other facets:

-If it was started by an Orger I like
-If it seems interesting
-If it contains the word "Spats" (c'mon, those r never dull)

Threads I don't click on:

-Anything that dares 2 xplore bodily functions
-If it looks like it shoulda been an Orgnote
