ummm... i'm a veggie so can't comment on the canadian bacon thing except that it seems like something only americans get excited over 
and they are still canadian geese  ... except probably more commonly refered to as just "geese" unless you live somewhere that requires differentiation between geese species

it is a lovely sight when they fly en masse this time of year "canadian bacon" is usually round and commonly the stuff that is otherwise referred to as "back bacon". Its leaner than regular bacon and just as thick. You'll find it sometimes maple glazed or with a light coating of cornmeal on the edges.  | |
