ummm... i'm a veggie so can't comment on the canadian bacon thing except that it seems like something only americans get excited over shrug

and they are still canadian geese lol... except probably more commonly refered to as just "geese" unless you live somewhere that requires differentiation between geese species biggrin

it is a lovely sight when they fly en masse this time of year smile

lol i'm a veggie myself, so i'm asking for my hubby (for the time when he FINALLY gets transferred up north!)

and yes, i'm totally in awe of the geese and their flying patterns!

Canadian Bacon: not really sure because I've only ever heard Americans talk about the stuff. I don't know even know what thsi supposedly beloved food looks like. lol

Unless you mean the movie, but that's another story.

"canadian bacon" is usually round and commonly the stuff that is otherwise referred to as "back bacon". Its leaner than regular bacon and just as thick. You'll find it sometimes maple glazed or with a light coating of cornmeal on the edges.
