i attended my first post mortem

last week (luckily just before i got the chicken pox!)

oh lawd!-utterly fascinating and horrific-the mortician took a particular delight in his job-especially using the surgical clamps to slice the patient open....

the anatomy of a human is so much easier to comprehend once its there in front of you- when somebody presents to the ED with a fractured skull we often forget-to fracture somebodys skull takes such an incredible force(he mused whilst holding the patients skull in his hands...)the skull realy is an incredibly designed crash helmet1

the smell....the smell wasnt so bad until the stomach and bowel was dissected-watch what you eat folks!

but what i came away most was how strange and incomprehensible "life" is-once that spark of electrical impulse is taken away.....

Incredible, Jony. An opportunity few of us will get.

Or indeed Nagarjuna's standpoint about this not being a world full of objects, that is specifically, independentally existing things with their own essence, but rather there are just interdependent conventionally existing processes.
