Weird flicks... ...you saw at the movies but really weren't supposed to.
Reading the Scene from the worst movie ever made. made me think of this. The first ones I remember getting in to the movies for were... ...Mondo Cane and its sequel Mondo Pazzo (or Mondo Cane2) Probably the original shockumentaries (before this term even existed) featured strange behavior and rituals from around the world Even stranger is the fact that the film's theme song, More , was nominated for an Academy Award. This song has been covered by everyone from Frank Sinatra to The Young Rascals. Back in the day in NYC they never checked IDs so getting in to flicks underage was rather commonplace. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. When I was sixteen, I saw The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. when you had to be 17 to watch it. The theaters in town were actually demanding you be 18 to watch it.
I was working part time at the theatre, so I had access to the movie and went in and watch it. OMFG what a mistake. It was disturbing. [Edited 11/7/06 18:59pm]

I was working part time at the theatre, so I had access to the movie and went in and watch it. OMFG what a mistake. It was disturbing. That's cheating. You were already legitimately in the theatre. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Another one was the Herschell Gordon Lewis gore cult classic...
...Blood Feast Egyptian caterer busies himself collecting body parts from young maidens in order to bring Ishtar, an ancient goddess of good and evil back to life. When he has prepared enough parts for the ceremony, he hypnotizes a woman giving an engagement party for her daughter, at which he plans to perform the ancient rites of summons, using the daughter as his final sacrifice. ~IMDb tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. do you mean you weren't supposed to because of being underage? or the film should have gone straight to video? or should not have been shown in a mainstream cinema?
I always went out of my way to go to the weird cinema to see the weird films I saw Sex & Zen there (soft porn as "art" ) I was over 18 though.

I remember going to the drive in movies with my parents and the kid movie would play first like the muppets or something. And then after midnight the adult movie would come on and my parents told my sister and I to go to sleep because we could not see the grown folks movie. My parents were so into the movie they did not notice my sister and I peeking behind the seats by the doors. I just remember the bath scene on The Shaft and when Idi Amin had a bunch of chicks in the bed having sex. Wanted: Virtual Sugar Daddy to help me buy stuff on Farmville and move up the ranks. Yes, there certainly is. Right at the opening of the movie I was like "whoa". No, I haven't seen anything else. I only saw Ichi because of the guy I was with and he loves those kinds of movies. Is The Audition any good?

Correct. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 aaaah I did see one on telly once at a friends house where a couple stripped off and left a trail of clothes in the snow, but I have no idea what it was called. And I was 14 when I saw Nightmare on Elm St and another horror movie rated M.
