Hey New York Yankee Fans...

SHUT OUT!!!

Your boys from the Bronx sure BOMBED tonight!

hah! hah! hah! hah! hah! hah! hah! hah! hah! hah!

How many of The Gambler's curve balls did you eat?

Before you go bellyaching...let me remind you of all the smack that has been talked here for the past few days...

http://www.prince.org/msg/100/204066

(ahem)

That being said...

I realize this isn't over until it's over...but, my city has been waiting for tonight for 19 years and with that kind of passion behind a team of pitchers your boys can't even hit against...well...you might get your asses handed to you in Motown tomorrow night. wink
And maybe not...it is the Yankees after all... smile

I like where this thread is heading...woot!

What a GREAT win for our boys! Firey Kenny was the perfect pitcher
for last nights game...his emotion carried him (and the rest of the
team) to a win.

Pitching is monumental in the playoffs, and THE TRUTH came out.

BTW, those home white and blue uni's with the old english "D" are
the classiest looking uni's in all of sports. Much better than those
Yankee pinstipes home uni's. nod
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I don't have any shit to talk, The Roaster showed up and pitched like a man last night, the pressure is now ON the Yankees. I believe they can do it, though.

Are you sure? Because from where I'm standing in Toledo, home of the Tigers' AAA-farm team Mud Hens -- who by the way have won back-to-back International League championships last year and this year -- the Yankees last night looked more like the last place Columbus Clippers, the Yanks' AAA farm team.

On top of that, former Toledo Mud Hens Curtis Granderson, Marcus Thames, Craig Monroe, Magglio Ordonez and Joel Zumaya have done pretty well so far in the ALDS.

Heck, the Toledo Mud Hens had more competition against the Indianapolis Indians - AAA farm team of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Lousiville Bats -- AAA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, the Charlotte Knights -- AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, the Buffalo Bisons -- the AAA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, and the Rochester Red Wings -- AAA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins -- than the YANKEES' AAA FARM TEAM -- the last-place Columbus Clippers.

Heck, George Steinbrenner paid top dollar to be in the playoffs this year like in years past. Compare that the the Tigers organization where talent was cultivated and grown and earned in the minor leagues from Toledo and Erie (Pa.) SeaWolves, to the Lakeland (Fla) Tigers and West Michigan Whitecaps and Oneonta (NY) Tigers.

Oh. on top of that Jim Leyland is from suburban Toledo, about 55 miles south of Motown. So, it's all local.

What say you now?

The Yankees got MAULED by the Tigers last night. The Gambler made it do what it do! And how about Curtis Granderson hitting his second homer of the series!? Things are comming together nicely. If I were a Yankee fan, I'd be getting ready to mothball my pinstripes until next year! GO GET 'EM TIGERS! THE ROAR HAS BEEN RESTORED!

We're not acting like the Yankees anything...we've got our own rich sports history here in Motown...and we don't need your props...that's not what's going to bring the win tonight. lol

HEY!!! BE QUIET!!! All u Tigers fans are going to jinx this whole thing....talk shit about the Yankees AFTER they get unceremoniously run out of Detroit in game 4....

....better to channel all that noise across the country to Dodger Stadium so that they can stage a comeback and keep the Mets out of the WS too....last thing in the world we need is ANOTHER subway series.....

Good pitching will always beat good hitting. Who was that, Kenny Rogers or Bob f-n Gibson? I don't know what kind of voodoo Leyland worked on that cat, but it paid off. Dude was lights out.

On Mike Francesca's Sunday show, he interviewed Bill Madden, one of the top baseball writers around. He says the Boss is as irate as he's ever been. According to Madden, Joe Torre's on his way out and Sweet Lou Pinella will take over.
