how did you find your 2001 to be on gas? that is about the year of used model i am looking at.


and for the record, i want one because cars here bottom out in the snow. getting stuck when you are a single woman is no fun

i want small, as fuel efficent as i can afford, and something that can do safe winter highway driving.

I was just about to mention the Rav-4's MPG. I drive a Corolla (and love it....it gets great gas mileage ), but I read where the Rav-4 actually gets better gas mileage than the Corolla. A lot of those smaller SUVs shouldn't be as much as of problem as any mid-size sedan.

My mom had been wanting to get me a smaller SUV that's good on gas rather than a car, because everyone has SUVs now. She thought that having a vehicle that was elevated would be a little safer than the Corolla. I admit it is extremely low to the ground, but I still feel safer in a car.

How is the stereo CD in your Corolla? One of the things that discourages me from playing my fav CDs in my Huyndai Sonata is that it heats up my CDs as if I had put them over a cooking stove.

Argh, I can't tell you how many times there's been a space up towards the, hell, middle of the lot. I never park up front cos I know there's old people or whatever who need it more than me, and I figure if I park mid to back at the supermarket or whatever, I'll get more exercise. But I can't even tell you how many fucking times I've been in a lot, and there's been only one bloody space left, but it's unusable because some cocksucker SUV driver couldn't properly park their vehicle. And sometimes, I suspect it's not even because they can't. I mean, if some jerk-off parks right down the line dividing two spaces, it's because the fucktard thinks their vehicle is so important no one should be able to park closely.

You just started a thread talking about boxes and closets and closets full of clothes? Think about about all the oil and natural resources that went into creating those clothes(growing and making the fabrics - running the machinery to make the clothes - transporting the clothes and it goes on and on) to sit in your closet.

Besides people who drive SUV's pay extra taxes in order to drive the car they choose because of gas taxes. If they eliminated SUV's today your gas prices would immediately go WAY up due to the huge loss in tax revenue. SUV owners basically are paying for our roads and pet projects such as light rail.
