Halloween is my favorite holiday EVER! Perhaps it's because my birthday is in Oct (the first to be exact wink ) I'll deck the house out before October. Get a good life of exposure for it! Mach, share with us some Samhain traditions you do, please?

biggrin we do many of the traditional "Halloween" events

We have a dinner for the dead honoring our passed ancestors with fresh made fall foods ... an alter with photos and trinkets from each passed ancestor

we talk about them and also try to prepare a dish that was their fav

I always do an ancestor honoring ritual ( details are private )

we usually hold a public circle for an open honoring of ancestors

those are just a few of the things that happen .. every weekend inh Oct is usually packed with pagan events ad rituals . gatherings

I think I'll do that. Plus my Dad died in October AND it was on my bro's birthday, and were all big into Halloween, so it'd be really cool.

I don't decorate at all. I don't answer the door to the kids that come around so there is no point.

I just put a pumpkin spice skeleton air freshner in my car smile
Halloween is my favorite so I always decorate, already started buying new decorations for my new apartment and started gathering little toys and fun stuff to make bags up for the few little ones in the block. I'll proably start decorating in October tho.

My neighbors across the street (who seem to get a kick out of beating us to the punch or outdoing our setups) already STARTED to set up their decorations (put out a bunch of inflatable ghosts but nothing else...just waiting to see what WE do).

I've never decorated for Halloween. In fact, I've never passed out candy. I'm going to pass out candy this year.

I'm most excited about Turkey Day, Xmas, and Nude Year!

I'm totally decorating for Xmas! I'm not sure whether to use colored lights or white ones outside, but I'm using all white lights inside and different shade of either blue or purple ornaments. I'm not sure. But I'm damned excited!

That's off-topic. neutral
This one's for you.

Yeah. But I don't get mad. I did it when I was a kid too. Better that they go around kicking pumpkins than selling drugs or something.

Exactly! "Gate Night" was always the thing we did the night before halloween, we didnt kick in pumpkins but a few teachers had their cars toilet papered!

disbelief
...we waited for our neighbor to finish decorating before we set up our house.
This year we set aside the front garden as a pumpkin patch and the side as a graveyard. [pictures to come]

Don't you know he went out and MADE some gravestones anbd set up his own graveyard???
