This evening I was altering and fiddling about with my computer sounds(by clicking on the Sounds and Audio Devices Icon in my Control Panel) as I was trying 2 get the audio 2 work on a video on a site that would play but did have any audio!! Anyway, now, whenever I change a page on my Internet Explorer browser I get a pinging or dinging sound!!

Anyway, I was wondering if any of u guys knew what options in what section I should apply in order 2 stop this infuriating dinging sound everytime I change a page!!

I have Windows XP, by the way!!

start,control panel, sounds and audio devices,sounds tab....select the program event that is making the noise and set the sound in the drop down box to none.

Off the top of my head - Go back into the Audio Properties and click the tab for Sounds - You will see a drop down window titled Sound Scheme.....Select Windows Default.....I think that would correct it.

But I dont know what the program event is called!!!

you could always go through the list make a change then change the page...when the sound changes..that is the one

I clicked the option NO SOUNDS!!!!!
