I had the opportunity to spend 5 years of my time in the service in Germany...my first two years were in a city up the AutoBahn from Nurenberg called Amberg....and I was in Mannheim for 3 years before going to Arizona....it is a beautiful country with a ton of stuff to do....but for me, I want to go back as a tourist, not as a Soldier....so little time to actually enjoy living there when ur in the service...

...but I truly hope u get the opportunity to go....

Berlin has a totally different vibe today than it had some years ago. It is one of the few cities I visited and where I really would love to live. It has a very special flair .
Having said that I just want to add that I am no fan of the Oktoberfest. Munich is a nice city, but kinda old fashioned IMO.

I lived in Stuttgart for 4 years when I was a teen. I loved it. It was clean and the people were very friendly. There was alot of Turks and S. African people there and they were fun fun fun.
