The Black Dahlia

Took my wife to this moive tonight.

Although It was very cinimatic. My wife and I both were puzzled. It's as though they tryed to pull off the largest puzzle movie, but did it without thinking that sometimes puzzles can have too many pieces.

It had nothing to do with anything about the real murder.

It had far too many components to the plot.

This would be a great movie if you wanted to go out to the movies and watch something but you had nothing you wanted to see more.

You wouldn't be missing out if you waited for it to hit the local video rental places, and at that there's no rush to see it as a new release.

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

sounds like a typical Brian de Palma-movie, his haydays are long over! Was at least Scarlett doing a good job, and looking hot????

I won't be able to see it this weekend and I don't really care for seeing movies in the middle of the week,so it'll be next Friday before I can see it. I'm still looking foward to it though. I'm fascinated by the real story behind it. CourtTV showed a special on it a few days ago.

I've heard that if you haven't read the novel that you will get lost in the film.

I'll see it when it's out on dvd. I'm into the real case so i'm not sure how much i'll dig the super-fictionalized version.

how could this movie have nothing to do with the real murder, I'm confused. Did they really take that much liberty with the story line?

The story line has next to nothing to do with the murder. The rest, the association of the murder, isn't at all to do anything with the murder or investigation.
