Its a good concept in theory... but always ends up being messy especially if its a good friend( I know from recent personal experience)

I have found it is workable but for me it got boring and I ended up doing most of the work.. not too interested in that anymore at this stage of my life..

When I am single I pretty much only sleep with people that I am good friends with.

I had a physical only relationship with someone for over 2 years, so it can definitely work.

I think one nite stands are better off, if ya don't wanna get hurt.

I cant have friends with benefits, cause it always ends up the friends wanting to cross over into a relationship. Then I have to end it with them.

So I just have friends now.

That's how I feel about the whole thing now. When I was younger I had a good male friend that I had for a long time. A few times we found ourselves without someone to be with and lonely so we got together just to comfort one another more or less. He was an exception I think and it worked for us. We are still friends now but we are both married. He jokes sometimes and hints about things but he knows those days are over.
So like you said- if two ppl can be adults about it and have an understanding then I think it is possible. I have just grown out of that stage of my life- I still love him dearly as a friend, always will.

Of all my friends (which is a handful) there's really no one I could imagine myself wanting to have sex with. So I only have platonic, yet close friendships. I love and appreciate my friends.
