I stopped being offended years ago lol

This strikes me as a good strategy. I think I'm going to invent some solo birthday traditions and just not even invite people in the future. lol

That's pretty much what I do and when people feign displeasure I just shrug my shoulders and tell them how much fun I had by myself lol I've been doing trips so that way I really am having a great time lol On my 30th my friends were all agog and when I showed up at their place at 8:30 they were turning in for bed! mad WTF lol The next couple years pretty much went the same way so now I just do my own thing.

I'm turning 27 this month. So, I ask a few of my favorite people to join me at my favorite restaurant for dinner. No big thing, just dinner.

"Oohh, it's a Tuesday night. . . oohh, it's a long drive. . . oohh, I can't afford it. . ."

What part of "birthday" don't you bastards understand? mad

So, I cancelled the dinner. And I was nice about it, and I've been all outwardly understanding and "uh huh, totally, no problem, I'll probably turn 28 next year, maybe I'll catch ya then". But in reality, my feelings are fucking hurt! sad

I don't think I'm some bad person! I try to take really good care of my friends/family! I smell nice! I attend their birthday celebrations, at their yucky restaurants, far from where I live! What the hell?! pout

So, I'm coming to the org to pout and moan. Thanks for listening. lol

You're a Libra, You RAWK! headbang 27... let's see...I had to do a party, got drunk while on air. My ex came in town and took me out...but i could have done without him. 27 sucks...most people will tell you 27 is a bitch. 28 and 29 were good to me. I just turned 30 on Sunday. That was one helluva birthday! Save the celebrations for that big one! But happy birthday! present cake

Happy soon-to-be birthday, to you! smile

I am one of those people, though. I just don't care for going out too much. The only time I've really liked going out is when I was single.

In fact, my girlfriend's birthday is next Monday and she is having a party at a club and I am dreading going and would rather just stay home. Knowing how much birthdays mean to her, we're going, but I am leaving after two hours.

I guess I'm just more of a homebody anymore. I suck.

I've always been a homebody. I totally understand that. And yeah, two hours is generally about enough. ESPECIALLY at a club. thumbs up!

However, most of the loved ones in question do not suffer from that condition. lol
