Whats benefit of dating an ugly person?

I hear this alot and comedians joking about this all the time. But while i was in court the other day I stumbled on someone I can't stand and hate a lot these days, dating one ugly, hiddeous person and even I am left scratching my head. Like Marge and homer Simpson. This person has a double chin, just hiddeous and sometime I wonder if this person who I saw in court along with the somalis heard that line too much to date someone ugly, cause you wouldn't have to worry about no one hitting on them or sleeping with them.

It just my opinion and I know they say beauty is skin deep, but in this case, I think plastic surgery wouldn't help. What are your ideas of why people date ugly people?

Low maintanence
Less cheating worries
Lower scale eateries
You always feel good looking
Greater sense of appreciation when you do something for them.

and so many more...

I disagree with them being low maintanence and them not cheating. People with low self esteem are usually the highest maintanence of all (afraid that they are not good enough for you, afraid you will cheat), and often they cheat the most, to feel validated.

That's assuming, of course, that someone that is not attractive is suffering from low self esteem because of their looks and feeling that they do not measure up to the media's ideal.

Is it true that many men believe that beautiful women are for dating and average women are who they wanna marry for the reasons you listed? A male friend of mine said something like that to me once. rolleyes

There is no benefit in dating us ugly people. Don't do us any favors.

This thread is a hot damn mess and will get worse. lol

I have no self-esteem problems. I am not high maintenance. While I can refer to myself as ugly, I only say that because I do not fit into society's idea of what beauty is. I wouldn't change a thing about myself. Those stuck on the superficial can go fuck themselves.

As far as ugly people being better in bed, it has zero to do with how I look, it has to do with me being a damn freak.

Oh, and Homer has Marge because Homer, with all his faults, is a loving, kind person who adores the ground Marge walks on.

At the end of the day all our physical selves are is a large fleshy vehicle for our brains, which when you get right down to it is the most attractive part of a person.

Unfortunately, it is also a very difficult part of the human body to see, and attempts to do so usually result in the subject's death. All I can really ever do to satisfy myself is watch old Ninja Turtles cartoons and silently pitch a tent whenever Krang comes on screen.

I can't bare ugly either. Nothing worse then a wore out, broken up, full of holes, torn down soul in a relationship. Well except the sort that is blind to the fact that that they are an arrogant wore out, broken up, full of holes, torn down soul.

Spats

Someone made a good point. Usually the person people marry is not usually the best looking person they were ever with. They had been with a lot better looking people in the past.

I can't really think of any real benefit to hooking up with an ugly person other than the fact that they will make you appear that much better looking.

and Ivy you are AWESOME anyone would be lucky to have you nod

as for this thread... pfft. the "beautiful people" can have themselves to themselves as far as I'm concerned. REAL beauty is inside the rest dissolves in the blink of an eye but true beauty lasts
