Do You Pick Up And Eat Food If It's Dropped On The Floor?

I wouldn't, but a coworker of mine just did today. I had accidentally dropped a piece of ice cream cake on the floor, and she gulped it down like nothing had ever happened.

Do you eat food if you or someone else drops it on the floor, or do you just throw it away?
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Me too. I could not believe it when my coworker ate the food off the floor like it was nothing. I wanted to ask her, "Are you NUTS? Think of all the germs that are now on that piece of ice cream cake that fell on the dirty floor." Yuck, just the mere thought of eating something off the floor makes me want to puke.

It depends on the food and the floor. Most often no, but if it's my own house, clean floor and isn't something the consistency of pudding, then sometimes, yeah.

Agreed, it was disturbing. She was either very hungry or just wanted it so bad that it didn't matter. confused

True, if it's your own house, you do have a different feeling about eating food that's been on the floor than you do about food that's been on someone else's floor.

nod Also it was after hours (most people were gone already), so she probably didn't care if my other coworker and I saw her do it. ill

true story.....

One time in my old apartment, I was working these crazy ass hours and I had just taken the bus an hour and half home. I was tired as hell but I wanted to treat myself I bought some shrimp and pasta and made scampi. Went through all the trouble to prepare it and when I went to sit down to eat, one of my cats got caught up in my feet and the whole plate fell on the floor. On top of being totally tired as hell and that long ass bus ride, I was also broke and I was so pissed but I ate the shrimp off the top of the pile of pasta. Technically I didn't eat it straight off the floor but some people wouldn't have even eaten those shrimp lol I worked hard and slaved and I was gonna have my shrimp damnit! mad

lol

giggle I don't blame you for eating it, shrimp and pasta is too good to waste. I hate it when your cat walks right in front of you, sometimes it seems like they do it on purpose just to get your attention. My one cat does that all the time.

One time I was attending a party at my girlfriend's mother's house and went into the kitchen where I saw at the top of the garbage can a perfectly good chocolate eclair with only one bite out of it. I thought that very wasteful, throwing away an almost perfectly good eclair like that, and it still looked delicious otherwise, and so I retrieved it from the trash can and proceeded to eat it.

However, unbeknownst to me, my girlfriend's mother saw me do this and thought me disgusting, and my girlfriend and I didn't stay together long after that incident. sad
