The Full-Figured/BBW Only Thread! For once, I wish skinny would be a passing fad so the real women of the world can save humanity for a change.

Not quite. You can have a naturally bigger figure. However, that's not to let off fat people. There is a very clear difference between being "big-boned" and being fat. I used to be 2 stone overweight...I've got to the slimmest I can be (I know - I tried starving myself to see if I could get thinner) and I'm still larger than a lot of thin people.

That woman is clearly not healthy. That's all I'm saying. And getting a huge fat ass and thighs with zits all on it to appease the taste of a select few individuals is a poor idea. This one's for you.

I stopped believing the hype about thin this and thin that... besides full-figured healthy fine size 14-16 or thereabout give of take a size or two is preferred to rib thin or unhealthy fat.

I can't see the photo (my work is blocking it), so I can't comment on that particular image...but, this woman (Megan Garcia) is a plus-size model and yoga instructor...she's full-figured, but very healthy... It is possible to be "bigger" and healthy. That's all I'm saying.

There is no such thing as big boned, Dr's have discredited that over the years. But being a BBW myself I work out 4 times a week, eat healthy, my blood pressure is great, my chloresteral is fanfreakintastic, and according to my Dr I am in great health. The only thing that is keeping me the size I am is the fact that I have hypothyroidism. SO that being said, who is to say what is healthy or not?

I am big but I cook and eat healthy. My family are healthy.. hell, my Mum goes to keep fit twice a week and the gym about 4 times a week, she works out harder than the women my age, (!!!) yet cant seem to shift her weight. She doesnt over eat or over induldge in anything unhealthy, never smoked, doesnt drink much either, yet some ppl to look at her (size), like ppl on this thread may say she looks unhealthy. I tell you what is unhealthy. Her two younger sisters.. who look 10 years older than my Mum, are skinny as rakes, have poor skin, wrinkles and no energy at all. My Mum is full of energy and fun, no wrinkles, good skin, great hair, and has a real zest for life.

Sounds like a doctor's term for big-boned.

Sounds like a doctor's term for big-boned. I was told by a sports medicine doc once that I have an extra large frame due to the size of my bones and joints...I would call that being "big boned".

Sounds like a doctor's term for big-boned. what does? if you mean hypothyroidism it's not. It means my thyroid is underactive and not working right. So I take natural medication to help keep it regulated.

Of COURSE people are big boned! I am big boned.. hell as a kid, I didnt need to fight, some ppl I could just poke or blow on and they would fall over. lol But I come from a stocky family and we ARE big boned. When I lost weight I went down to 140lbs, and as the doc and my family advised, should I lose any more weight, I would look and become more unhealthy. It just wasnt natural for my frame size.
