This is a brand new year my friend and a brand new team with a totally different line-up . So I am just going to sit back and as everyone continues to underestimate my A's. And on a side note, the picture above was close to the view from the seats I had for that game. just a bit farther away. "Always blessings, never losses......"

Now stop that. The Yankees play by the rules set up by baseball. If the system isn't fair to small market teams, let the owners & players change it. You know as well as I do the players don't want a salary cap and the big-market owners don't want revenue sharing. MLB attendance hit record numbers this year...as long as the money's rolling in, the system will stay the same. Don't feel too bad - you've got the Pistons. At least they've won an NBA title and they're a well-run organization. Last time the Knicks won anything I was 12 years old. Look at the mess Isiah's made of my team now. [Edited 10/4/06 11:42am]

What's up with the Twins? I thought they would win at least ONE game at home. Although it's not quite over yet. Still the bottom of the 9th to go...

Let me say this to all the folks angry about George spending money. After the Yanks lost to LA in the 1981 WS, they didn't win another title until 1996. During those 15 years, George was spending money, but the team went nowhere. I don't remember any outrage back then, only when the team started winning again after 96.

That being said, the end of your season begins on tuesday. They are my sentimental favorites!! What the hell was that last night? I have never seen a game rained out when IT WAS NOT EVEN RAINING!
I think Mussina was warming up, felt he didn't have it, and in turn Steinbrenner had them call the game. I think the Yankees are afraid of the Tigers . "Always blessings, never losses......"
