ESPN can't get Johan Santana's dick out of their mouths long enough to eat lunch. don't get me wrong, he's the real deal for sure, but the way they jock him is a joke. I think the main page has the Yanks as winners, but when you go analyst by analyst, the Twins are favored over NY 7 to 5.

Don't count my boys out. During that June sweep the Yankees did not have Matsui, Sheffield and Abreu in the lineup. That's 300 RBIs missing there. Stop whining...the A's were without pitchers Rich Harden, Joe Kennedy, Justin Duchstcherer, and two starting position players, 2nd baseman Mark Ellis and outfielder Milton Bradley. Not to mention the Esteban Loaiza just came off the DL and Frank Thomas and Eric Chavez were hurting. In fact Frank Thomas went on the DL right after that series. Injuries are part of the game, suck it up! "Always blessings, never losses......"

Don't worry, it will be good enough. Good pitching always shuts down good hitting, and the A's now have three very good pitchers back to help shut down those supposed 300+ RBI's . You mean the Red Sox, the first and only team in history in any major sport to come back from a 3 - 0 deficit to win a 7 game series????? Who did they do that against??? Wasn't it the YANKEES ???? Anyway, different year, different team so you are trying to compare apples to oranges. "Always blessings, never losses......"

You are the one that said good pitching ALWAYS shuts down good hitting. I just gave you an example where that wasn't the case. The Red Sox had excellent pitching of their own that year...Pedro, Schilling, Keith Foulke...I say their pitching staffs were a wash. Also, I should have expanded on that statement to say good pitching AND DEFENSE wins in the playoffs and World Series. This year, with the exception of closer, the A's have a better starting 5 (4 for the playoffs) and better bull pen. And the A's definately have a better defense. . Playoff baseball is about one thing...pitching. No one has better than the Tigers...Look out Yankee fan, you're about to WITNESS the truth. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Met fan here and I'm gonna be completely honest....the yanks are taking the AL. their lineup is JACKED. It's like a friggin All-Star team...But they won't get there with ease...I'm gonna predict the Yanks win the AL in 7 games over the A's..As for the NL, the Mets are taking it all the way...But without pedro, sanchez, a four man rotation, two of em relatively old..., I'm not sure if they got the pitching to match these AL powerhouses

They took care of business today against Johan Santana in Minnesota. Assuming you get past the Yankees, you are going to be in one hell of a fight against the Athletics. He just didn't get any bat support until it was too late. I blame Jessie Crane. I have never been impressed with him. They should have brought Neshek in a little earlier instead of giving the mound to Crane.

It may be a possibility. Otherwise I'd say it's probably Silva.

It may be a possibility. Otherwise I'd say it's probably Silva. Right now it sounds like Santana will go in Game 5 in Minnesota if necessary (I really hope it does not get to that, it would be very difficult to beat Santana in back-to-back starts at Minnesota). But if the A's do go up 2 games to 1, the Twins just might not have a choice and might have to start Santana in game 4 in Oakland on 3 days rest. "Always blessings, never losses......"
