I tried sushi for the first time this year...and now I am obsessed with it! I eat it once or twice a week now. Do you remember the first time you tried it? What did you think of it? It was love at first taste for me! love

What types have you eaten? There's rolls, mostly not the raw fish type. There's the rice ball type with the raw fish! and just the raw fish.

Did you know it was original made as a finger food?

What's you favortes?

I really love

Tuna
Samon
Macral.

Sushi-grade tuna is awesome! biggrin

(Sushi-grade means you can serve it raw if you want)

We ran it as a special a while back. I did not think I'd like it, since I loathe tuna generally, but it was REALLY good.

Yes! and within Sushi-grade, there are (i think) 3 levels. Anyway, that's one of my favortes. Mostoften it is what I get several pieces of.

I've even gone as far as to seriously consider buying myown and making myown, but then that might turn into a gluttionis mess.

When we had it, we did not make actual sushi with it, we cooked it like a steak on the chargrill...it turned out really well.

Isn't it true that the warmer you drink sake the worse quality it is? I'm not bitchin' cos we have sake here and we have to drink it warm. And we don't mind. Except we need a sake set so we're not drinking it out of our little juice glasses.
This one's for you.

Oh, and I love sushi. We would go more if we could afford to. We just live about five minute from two different sushi restaurants now. We try to make it once a month or so. I'd go nearly every day if I could afford it, though.

My first time was 2003. My science teacher ( who was like a mother to me) took my best friend and I to a sushi restaurant afterschool. I was afraid..lol but I tried it anyway. I ordered the california roll and loved it. Im afraid to try any other kind so whenever I get sushi...I order the california roll razz

I guess it used to be that sake was served warm to mask lower quality brews. I'm told that most sake prduced these days is of a fairly high quality and that the temperature is more of a personal choice. I've never had cold sake, so I don't really have a preference. Gonna have to work on that. nod

sushi is interesting - the tastes and the textures are very fun - but i never feel like i've had a meal after going to a sushi restaurant. it's kinda like tapas, you get to taste stuff but you don't really satisfy your hunger.
