what would _______ do?

no, this is not about religion, at least not per se.

do you have somebody in your life whose judgment on certain issues you trust - in other words, do you ever say "what would _____ do?"

i've been lucky to have several people like that in my life:

when it comes to business decisions, i wonder what Gene would have done. he was one of my earliest bosses, and a thoughtful and smart manager and business man. sadly, he died a few years ago of cancer, and i hope he knows that he's still an inspiration to me.

in terms of nonprofit vision, i often wonder what Bonnie would do. she was a grassroots, street-fighter type advocate for people in need, and i adore her for it.

Clarence is my inspiration when it comes to faith, although he is of a different religion from mine. he knows his stuff, and lives his life accordingly. i admire him tremendously.

and when it comes to humor, nobody beats my husband. he cracks me up every single day, and i love him more all the time. mushy

who has been your real-life inspiration?

my grandfather was very active in everything he did. he was president of the statewide professional society he belonged to. he was president of several business organizations he was involved in. he did alot of charity work. He had plaques of awards and recognition covering the walls of his house (i have those plaques now). Im most of the things I've been involved with professionally and charitable I've become president or vice president.
sense of humor, my dad has always had a good one, although these days I don't think he's funny. I had a cousin "muz" who had an awesome sense of humor, but we lost him to brain cancer a few years ago
politically, (say what you will, i'm entitled to my beliefs) Ronald Reagan.

Plenty. nod But one in particular stands out... Paul Jones.

Paul Jones, I love you mate. hug I saw him for the first time in ages last night and it was a very significant evening. Once again, he has taught me things that he never even knew he was teaching me. He has been a profound infuence on my life.

Thank God we sat next to each other in Metalwork in Year 2, comprehensive school. Things might have been very different.

I don't understand, is this a multiple choice? confuse

If so, I'd have to go with Bonnie.

What would Brian Boitano do if he was here right now
He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, that's what Brian Boitano'd do
When Brian Boitano was in the olympics, skatin' for the gold
He did two sowchows and a triple lutz while wearing a blindfold
When Brian Boitano was in the alps, fighting grizzly bears
He used his magical fire breath and saved the maiden's fair

So what would Brian Boitano do if were here today
I'm sure he'd kick an ass or two, that's what Brian Boitano'd do

I want this V-Chip out of me,
It has stunted my vocabulary.

And I just want my mom to stop fighting everyone.

For Wendy I'll be an activist too,
'cause that's what Brian Boitano'd do.

So what would Brian Boitano do?
He'd call the kids in town, and tell them to unite for truth,
that's what Brian Boitano'd do.

When Brian Boitano traveled through time to the year 3010
He fought the evil robot king and saved the human race again
And when Brian Boitano built the pyramids, he beat up Kubla Kahn
'Cause Brian Boitano doesn't take shit from anybody

So let's get all the kids together,
and unite to stop our moms.
And we'll save Terance and Phillip too,
'cause that's what Brian Boitano'd do,
And we'll save Terance and Phillip too,
'cause that's what Brian Boitano'd dooooo!!!!!
'Cause that's what Brian Boitano'd do!
