"Clean House"

Does anybody love watching this show on the Style Network as I do? It's when people write to the show asking for help in cleaning up their messy, out of control house. A couple of people from the "Clean House" team comes into the house and cleans up the mess, then convinces the family to get rid of the unwanted junk that's accumulated in the house.

You would not believe some of the stuff that people hang on to! For instance, I'm watching the show today, and there was one guy who kept his wisdom teeth that he had removed!! hah! disbelief The "Clean House" crew sometimes has trouble getting people to give up the junk, they get all emotional and say, "But I can't get rid of that, it has sentimental value to me!" (and the thing that they're so attached to is worthless garbage. I can see having sentimental value for something that was given to you from a cherished family member or friend, but some the stuff that people want to keep is just plain junk!)

Whatever the family agrees to give up, they then have a yard sale, and whatever they sell, "Clean House" will match the total amount of what they sell (up to $1,000). "Clean House" then goes into the house and cleans it up, paints the walls, and even installs new furniture into the place. I love how they clean up the house and make it look so totally fresh and clean, like a whole different house. Almost makes me wish I had a messy house that needed cleaning up, because they pick the prettiest shades of paint for the walls, and the coolest furniture. cool
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This show is crazy. It's amazing what people will live in. I always wonder if they'll be able to maintain the house considering how junky they were begin with.

The host kinda freaks me out with all the make-up though neutral
"What kind of fuck ending is that?"

I've wondered too if the people whose houses got cleaned up will actually KEEP them that way. The host meaning Neicy?

Yeah Neicy Nash. She's funny, but every show she looks like she needs to wash her damn face. But hey if it works for her, wtf.

I enjoy the show. I didn't really like Niecy Nash, though, until I saw her on the Tonight Show. She was SO funny that I found a totally new respect for her.

The new season seems to have a couple personnel shifts, though. I miss Alan, the former yard sale dude.

What gets me is how everything has sentimental value. I can understand one or two special pieces, but everything!?!?

That sort of thing makes me feel bad for the owners. If they desperately cling to their past THAT much, how satisfied can they be with the present?
