As you say ..... Thats your perspective.....Doesn't make me wrong or right wink

I am curious though.....Would people wear a Coat made of Old English Sheepdog? Or is that too cute..... razz

Cotton comes from a Plant by the way....I wear cotton shirts too... lol

(EDITED ADD IN - I didn't say you wore fur confused )

I'd wear a coat made of Old English Sheepdog if I were in the artic.
Fur comes from the Planet just as cotton does.
I'm not saying there's something right about choosing to wear fur. I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with it.

My wife once had a friend, whom she put up with alot of bullshit from and many many things of the such. My wife was wonderful to this person, what a friend should truly be. That person broke off the friendship with my wife because my wife went though a vintage fur stage. That's just a stupid person right there.

I believe people want to find some cause to get behind that they can feel something is "wrong" so they won't have to face the facts that the "wrong" is within them and not outside them.

That's an illusion of doing something right so you can avoid what's actually right to do.

Again, necessity.

Would you wear a Mink coat in California? lol

Seriously, I am not preaching to you or anyone else - I made my point of view - I don't wear Fur - I think Fur is worn as a means of Vanity, my opinion.

I eat Meat.....Some folk would call me a murderer for that (Funnily enough I didn't actually kill anything.. confused ...) and the same goes for Fur clothing - some folk think its murder too..(not me).....But they be the kind of folk who slip broken glass into Baby Food as a means of Protest... eek

I agree with a comment made earlier

i think if people knew more about the conditions on fur farms, and the wild trapping methods, people would reconsider wearing fur.

Many years ago I worked on a Dairy Farm, My Boss and I went to the Slaughterhouse with some Pigs - The Slaughterer let me watch him put a Pig through the process.....It wasn't pretty nor humane sad Took me a long time to eat Meat again.

I dunno. I suppose if I could afford it I might wear it.
What about leather? Seems like nobody's got a problem with that.

It depends on how it's made. If it involves killing animals soley for the purpose of fur, nope. If it's cow or lamb skin however, at least the animal is being used for food, so they are making use of the skin as well.

I saw on TV that there is a lady that will actually weave a sweater or whatever you want, from your dogs fur. The dog doesn't have to be dead to do this, you just save the fur every time you brush your dog, and once you collect enough of it, she spins it into thread. She has some way of cleaning it too so it doesn't smell. I thought that was a nice way to remember your pet, if you have a blanket or something made from their fur.

Yeah, being vegetarian and wearing fur are related, but different, issues. A person might be able to argue that they, personally, need to eat meat to feel well. Nobody in the United States NEEDS to wear fur. The aniamsl are raised and killed in nasty conditions just for the sake of vanity. I think it says a lot about you if that's ok with you, and I have zero patience for it. Makes me really angry.

If you must wear i, at the very least, buy it used. Then the money is going to the consignment store or whatever, and not to the inhumane treatment of more animals.

I personally would not wear them but I don't knock anybody that chooses to. I find it funny that instead of answering the question, some people choose to list what they have as sort of a knock to the people who are opposed to it AND some of the people opposed to animal fur found fault in those who do wear it. We are all fallable, none perfect I'm sure there is somrthing in everyone's life that would be frowned upon if others knew about it.

Yes.. that is why I stated it was just my opinion..

Let's face it, wearing fur is far more natural than synthetic clothes.
Gettin back 2 basics.

For me no ways, if I'm ain't in essential need. I can wear elegant and warm also without wearing fur.

I'm in conflict with leather. But I still do wear.

I wouldn't wear it cos it looks pretty stupid, but I'm not opposed to someone else doing it. Animals would wear us if they needed clothes and we were a bit lower on the food chain. A pair of human-skin pants to cover your four legs... very fashionable, I'm sure.
This one's for you.

You know, I can take that attitude about people who, like, don't recycle. But participating in such senseless cruelty in an active way. . . yuck.

Considering I take baths in Deer blood and jack off puppies, the fact that I wear dead badgers around my neck is superfluous.

I detest fur garments and will not buy from a retailer that sells it... but I fully admit my hypocrasy also because I have been given a Leather Jacket and bought Leather wallets, bags and shoes before

like Lammistade (sp) I'm trying to wean myself off it I only own the Leather Jacket now and that's only because it has more sentimental value than anything - I haven't worn it for many years

If you eat meat you can wear leather without being a hypocrite (sp), you don't kill cows just for their hide. Fur is something entirely different though, fur is supposed to be on the animal, not worn by humans. I HATE humans who wear fur! stab
