when i was in college, some of my best roommates were strippers. they always had money to pay the rent and the bills, and they never mooched my food.

each to thier own... personally I've always admired the way they can dance and move I think its awesome (but I would not choose to do that myself for a living having said that)

I have a friend who was a prostitute for a long while... now THAT is something that's a whole other story just wanted to slip that in because there is a stigma out there that stripping is like prostitution and it's nothing like it

There are some that do it because they earn biggie bux. They do it to pay for the university tuition, or if they are single parents. Then there are some that are smuggled in from Russia or Thailand who are slaves to pay off a debt.

I've known a few in my time and all of them have been high-school dropouts with very low self esteem. I know that many strippers do get a university degree, but the ones I've known did not.

I feel sorry for any woman that has to strip for a living. I think it's degrading work and I believe that many are unhappy doing it. Sure, they make a bundle of money, but we all know, money doesn't matter in the big scheme of things.
