okay, good, you said it first. i didnt want to piss of the john lovers, but i didnt like cry-baby, desperate measures, or cecil b. demented.

desperate measures? you mean desperate living? that's one of my absolute favorites. liz renay is a Goddess with a capital G.

nod She's the hotness. Edie is so hilarious.

It's really the whole ensemble that makes that movie.

yes. i love edie and mink in it, but without divine, it's a little meh.

i love divine, but i'm a bigger fan of john waters, his humor and his writing - from the beginning up through polyester, he can do no wrong by me. though don't get me wrong, he's had a lot of great moments in his films from hairspray on...it's just not the same. i'm more of a fan of his essays and art these days than i am of his movies. though 'a dirty shame' was pretty filthy. bow

I'm looking 4ward 2 the new movie. I love John Water's original and the stage version (though a note 4 those unaware: aside from character names and basic storyline, they have almost nothing 2 do with each other). I don't care 4 the casting choice of Queen Latifah as Motormouth. I'd rather see an older actress and much stronger vocalist in that role. The kid playing Link looks like he's 12 (check out IMDB). Amanda Bynes? Can she sing?...

I'm very xcited about seeing Nicole Blonsky. Her look is spot-on and I read that aside from plays in high school, she's done absolutely nothing. In order 2 score a gig like this, she's gotta b pretty damn impressive.

I'mm okay with latifah. i had reservations about her doing chicago and then when i saw it she blew me away, so... my biggest thing was replacing billy crystal with christopher walken as wilbur. he's supposed to be shlubby, warm, goofy. walken just seems... wrong.

You read my mind on that one. I adore Christopher Walken to an insane degree, but he seems completely wrong for Wilbur, who's supposed to be hopelessly normal opposite Edna's over-the-topness.

but you should hear me doing walken as wilbur it's funny as hell.

eek
