Ouija Boards: How You Used One?

Just curious. But has anyone here ever used or had a weird experience with a Ouija Board?

I've been reading a lot of crazy sites, and for some reason I believe these scary things WORK! eek

If you'vre ever had a Ouija experience could you please share it with us?

---Peace! biggrin

I brought this up once, alot of people have had scary experiences because they encountered evil spirits. Many people believe the soul left on earth in limbo are all malevolent.

I on the other hand had some fun experiences with the board, asking funny questions, and got humourous answers. Always felt safe. smile

Well you're in the minority, my friend. I have been reading several accounts of people who have had experiences that transends all rationality as we know it. But I believe it to be true.

A Ouija Board Screams!

This one person who was playing with the board by himself (a Ouija no-no!) and got scared--you know, weird stuff like footsteps, and rappings started happening around the house while he was alone. So, in his infinite wisdom he decided to take the Ouija Board out back and burn it! And it began SCREAMING! eek

A Ouija Board Returns!

Another knuckle-head and his buddies were playing with the Ouija, and after getting the be-Jesus scared out of them, decide to throw it away in the garbage dumpster. When the got back in the house--THERE IT WAS! eek

Ouija Curses People Out

Many Ouija Board users have also complained that the board is sometimes very abusive. In one case, a guy ask the Ouija what was God's name (another Ouija no-no!), and the Ouija responded god. The guy asked again, and again the Ouija said god. The guy asked a thrid time, and the Ouija WENT OFF ON HIM! Calling him an MF--everthing but a child of God!

One person who was cursed out by a Ouija Board asked, "Why do you curse so much'? It answered,"Life man." lol

One thing I learned was when you make first contact, you should always ask them their name. One time we didn't...and for the first few questions we asked all we got for an answer was the letters J & M. Turned out those were the person's initials. Once that was out of the way, everything was fine.

I don't really believe anything marketed by a board game company is truly otherworldly.

Except Candyland.

Tried it once.

Was probably duped by my friends, I still really don't know.

It lead to some scary experiences, is all I will say.

I realised I had pretty Christian beliefs at the end of it all, though... and some people really suck.

I grew up using the Ouija board with my family. In fact, we used it almost nightly and had many cool experiences with it over the years. (and some creepy ones as well)

I haven't tried it in years though, although I've been meaning to. It does take a while for it to "work" though if you're just starting out, which is why many people give up and say it's all bullshit. You have to have patience.

My aunt was so good at it that she was able to make it work for her by herself, which is almost unheard of because you usually need more than one person.

They're BS. Someone always pushes the piece around and tries to act like it was moving on it's own. That's why they insist you use two people, so you get spooked cuz you never know for certain if they pushed it or not, you just know it moved. I doubt ghosts spend all day roaming around answering people with ouija boards.

Well, you would think that way until you've seen it move all by itself with no one anywhere near it. lol

Ouija... made by Parker Bros???? thats a lil unbelievable....

but... i did participate ONCE when we went away to 8th grade camp... oh we should have known it was gonna end badly... the scary music, the wind howling, the too close for comfort Micheal Myers situation... we should have known...alas ignorance is bliss... we started telling ghost stories and moved onto the ouija board (not the paper one either), needless to say the lights went out - the wind was pounding, the shutters sounded like they were trying to get into the cabin, the door was opening and closing... the roof was rattling - it was horrifying, myself and my 13 accomplices thought better of the situation and ran like HELL, we jumped into the lake and stayed THERE... i'm not sure if the ouija board did it cause the lights were off - everyone else at the camps lights were on they heard no noise or wind - they did however see us in the lake come dawn... later that day i thought it was a good idea to hike across this farm, over a fence and dayumed if i didn't slip with one leg on either side of the fence - its not supposed to hurt when u're a gurl, but that was bone chilling. this dude i was walking with fainted.

What most people don't realize, is that you don't need to use an official or store-bought one. You can just use any flat thing that will slide and make your own cardboard letters and numbers and tape them to the table you're using. I've actually never used a Parker Brothers ouija board. Ours were always home-made.

biggrin I used to be all into mysticism, but any more, I just kinda feel that if there's some spirtit that's desperately trying to contact me, when it's ready it will just appear in front of me and say "hey there!", not knock on walls and slam doors and stuff, lol. I mean, if I was a ghost and had something to tell someone, I would just cut to the chase and yell it out real loud, LOL.

Slightly off topic, but I would love to go ghost hunting with recorders and digital thermometers. I watch that show Ghost Hunters sometimes, but you know I'm skeptical about a t.v show dealing with that topic. I wanna see for myself.

There's a convention on the paranormal going on at Penn State next month, and the cast from Ghost Hunters will be there.

I love that show, the new season starts soon too.

If you check around on the web you might find some local ghost hunting groups you can tag along with. I found one near me, called Spiritseekers, and went with them a few years ago on a ghost hunt, it was lot of fun.

I'm too chicken to do that but a friend of mine walked through a graveyard with a recorder.. it was just him and his female friend and you can hear them talking normally in conversation.. at one point right between their sentences but definitely not my friends voice you hear a male voice say "KILL" eek

Sounds cool. They might have something like that since it's close to Halloween, but I'm not sure about a regular basis ghost hunt. I'd love to go with trained expects rather than tour guide types. It's been so long since I've been on a ghost tour. It wasn't anything like Ghost Hunters though. We basically just rode around the city and looked at haunted locations. I loved it, but I'm ready for the heavy stuff now. lol

I bought a cheap ass psychic board...never worked...I plan to try it with someone in the future...hope it works. At one point I was really into the paranormal. I want to get a recorder and try to record voices from spirits.

I think it was around this time last year this topic last surfaced. Pity the search engine isn't working because there was a very interesting and lengthy thread on it, which I'd provide a link to if I could.

My opinion on ouija boards remains the same :

It's a game, it's a game, it's a game. Nothing more.

Those who have strange, scary, or any kind of experience do so simply because they overestimate the power of a piece of cardboard with numbers and letters on it, and they underestimate the power of their imaginations.

lol You'll never believe it until you experience it, that's what I always say. We lived in a truly haunted house in San Francisco for 4 years while I was in high school. Even people like my dad became a believer while living there. How could he not? lol

People would come and stay with us while visiting on vacation, and then after one night, leave and stay in a hotel. lol It was just normal for us though because we got so used to everything that happened there.
