3 times. The 3rd was the charm.

The first was fast, hard, and over much to soon.

The second crept up on me, was one-sided (on my part) and a little obsessive (again on my part).

The third was tentative and careful, like I knew right away this would be the person I spend the rest of my life with, and the last thing I wanted to do was to get into a relationship straight away. Any initial reservations disappeared over the time we took to become friends first. I have no regrets about any drama or stress or the games that were played; it was all part of the dance.

And worth having a soft place to land for the rest o my days.

i think its hard to say...i mean when your there, you really feel like you are so deep in love..and then, for one reason or antoher you fall out and you look back and you question it. i think its part of the cycle, but i dont think that means you werent ever IN love...

i have to say thrice. first man won my heart and then moved away, were still very close freinds, second and third both my broke heart something fierce, and ive recovered.

i think life gives us what we need right when we need it, and im thankful for all the experiences, ya know?

that all being said, im so ready to do it all over again. nod biggrin

Never. I obviously love people and have grown to love others, but I don't expect to fall in love and really never have.

Everyday I believe more that love isn't something one falls into, but rather s-l-o-w-l-y sinks into over a long span of time.

Yet I know what you're hitting at, and I'd say I've experienced this faster wash of feelings for a person exactly 2 1/2 times. lol (I lost contact with the potential third before anything more rooted could take shape... but I still think about the person years later.)

Once ...

I fell in love at age 10 to my first love who at the time was 13. Our eyes connected and locked into position, and that was it -- Love At First Sight! This relationship ended when I was 28 and took over 7 years to finally get over.

Who really knows for certain? We are all revisionists anyway...past is past...I gave up trying to figure out this stuff... I know there ave been people who affected me deeply for that I am greatfull...but who did I "fall in love " with... I'm only worried about who I'm with now. smile

Once,,. I almost got married last year... didn't happen... but now I'm single and ready to mingle.... hoping that it hits me again one day.
