She found John Travolta's bag of heroin sitting on the couch and thought it was coke. It was a very accidental overdose.

That's why he felt so responsible about her condition and the reason he took her to his heroin dealer's (Eric Stoltz) for help.

Well, he was responsible for wife-sitting her that night. And I don't think he meant to lose his bag of heroin, much less for her to snort it.

He was able to save her life though.

That's right. He would have been in a whole mess of trouble if she had died while in his care. Although in retrospect, his own fate was near so he could have just said "the hell with it". He didn't know obviously.

Rite, he was responsible for her. So if she woulda just been using her own supply, wouldn't he still have taken her to the crack house for the adrenaline shot?

Doubtful. Cuz she seemed like a coke connoisser and knew what she was doing with her own stash. Every time she did her own, she seemed relatively in control. Obviously, she didn't know what she was taking and didn't have much experience with heroin. Plus, it was a super strong variety and not meant for snorting.

Not me. I hold a grudge against certain actors. lol

Conversely, I'll see supremely bad films if an actor I really like is in it--like 'Cursed' with Christina Ricci. barf

Make no mistake, I will see certain movies, because actors I like are in them. But I won't not see a movie if somebody I'm not very fond of is in it. I think you're missing a lot of great movies (songs, albums, shows, etc.) in doing so.

i agree to a certain extent. i broke down and watched 'the doors', and i actually didn't mind that the evil meg was in it. typically, though, anything she's in makes my skin break out just thinking about it.

Spats

Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock. (They are pretty much the same actress.lol). They should play sisters in a movie. They are so much alike. And i can't stand either of them.

Ashton Kutcher
Demi Moore
Will Smith
Harrison Ford
Hugh Grant
Bruce Willis
The Wayans Brothers

There's nobody I'd completely avoid (I watch a lot of movies), but these I will definitely steer clear of if possible--nothing really new here:

Mel Gibson
Keanu Reeves
Sandra Bullock
Kevin Costner
Tom Cruise
Arnold
Ashton Kuscher

Actually, the only actor to which that applies is Tom Hanks. Something about him rubs me the wrong way. Yeah, I missed 'Forrest Gump', 'Apollo 13', 'Philadelphia', etc., but for some reason it doesn't bother me that I missed them. shrug

Those other goofy actors I mentioned I'd go see if they appeared in an indie film where they played it straight.

i hate tom hanks. i hate his collicky voice, i hate his watery cow eyed stare, i hate his dumb-ass nose and i hate his whole image, which makes me hate him even more because he used to actually be kinda funny and interesting in the beginning. he's the billy joel of acting, only at least billy joel never pretended he wasn't an ass, even at his sappiest.

I'm not a huge fan of Tom Hanks either, but I really liked Philadelphia. Forrest Gump was boring to me, and Apollo 13 was quite a yawn. All I took away from that movie was "Things suck out here in space. I wish we could get back to earth and eating frozen hot bogs is a bummer." shrug

That's true, I used to think he was okay in 'Bosom Buddies'. I saw 'Bachelor Party' and the aforementioned 'Splash', but after that I couldn't watch him.
