It depends on how honest you want my answer to be but I co-sign stymie, LazarusHeart, Justin and Herman.

It depends on the person and their outlook/approach. It suits some people, it doesn't suit others. Some people need it at a particular time of their life, some people will always need it, others will never need it. As long as you act like adults and treat each other with respect, I see no problem with it. But that doesn't mean I encourage or go out looking for it. There are hundreds of differents reasons as to why people do it.

Whatever side of the of the fence you fall on, however, you should not have to be judged.
