You could come to my jazz club... batting eyes

In all seriousness, all the good ones are incredibly elitist and expensive, so be prepared to be turned away.

HMM...

Jazz Cafe in Camden and Ronnie Scott's in Soho are the obvious choices and they're pretty good, albeit quite costly. And then there's Octave in Convent Garden.

You can thank me later. But now, you can orgnote me a photo of yourself. wink

Jazz Cafe is not a true, classic jazz club in the strictest sense, and their performance offerings diversify from the pure jazz genre.....but you will be safe there and it is always dependable for a good time and to have good quality music/artists.

I used to pop down to the odd jazz session in some of the small clubs around Manchester when my buddies used to study there smile I wouldn't loved to have gotten into it more, unfortunately we just used to go there to pull the birds pretending to be the thinking womans' crumpet neutral

The above named places sound nice. I must check them out. Live Jazz is just so great to listen to whilst sipping a couple of drinks.

thumbs up!

Unfortunately nothing can persuade my colleagues... so it looks like a night in a small pub having something that passes for food....

I suppose there is always next time... might visit again in a couple of weeks with my sister....

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIPS THOUGH!!!

Tell me about it.... back now after enticing my female colleague into a Welsh bar (she is from S.Wales)... of all places!...

BUT.... doesn't take away from the fact that I was aiming for a (at least) half decent jazz bar....
