NullPointerError exception! 
NO matter what I DO, NULL POINTER. WTF!?!?! Damn I'm so tired...this is what a damn near 12 hour coding marathon will do to you. So why am I on the org at 4:20 AM when I should be crashing? I don't know. My reasoning skillz are Burnt teh fuck out! I'm starting to think this was is stupid idea.... but i'm going to hit save anyway on second though, someone D.T.S.  " | |

Damn null pointers! I bet you have an uninitialised variable lurking in a module somewhere, just crying out to be given a value. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |

Either you're like me and get such a buzz from writing code that all else pales in comparison (I consider coding to be my main form of artisitic expression), or you're just plain mad. What language(s) are you using ? I'm guessing some version of VB or .NET or C++. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |

I wish I could be like you, but sadly my brain doesn't work that all the time. I gotta go draw something once in a while to balance it out.  But when I code, I refuse to leave any loose ends, so I could spend any amount of time just trying to fix one error. I guess it is kinda a buzz. When it actually works.

but still....strippers!  Ever since 1981 when my dad bought me a ZX81 I've been hooked on programming, been doing it ever since. I like Java but I don't get to use it much so I'm probably rustier than you.
Mostly I do RPG/ILE and .NET, and a little bit of SQL and XML now and then, and lately I seem to spend most of my time tidying up other people's loose ends.
You wouldn't believe the shitty code I'm sorting out at the moment.  A 25 year old RPG program full of GOTO's  . Fortunately for them, the original 'programmer' (and I use the term loosely) has long since left, otherwise they'd have one of my size 11's lodged permanently up their arse by now.
Maybe I should go see some strippers instead.  Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |
