What's Your Unique Snack That You Put Together For a Snack? We all have our unique concoction of snacks or food that we put together that tastes really good.
I like to dip chocolate chip cookies into a jar of peanut butter. Tastes just like Reece's Pieces candy. Or sliced bananas on a peanut butter sandwhich. What's yours? Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

This isn't a snack, but it's my recipe for virtually fat-free mushroom rissotto...
Ingredients 3 cups of peeled and sliced open-cup mushrooms 1 packet of Mushroom-flavour Savoury Rice Garlic Granules Salt & Pepper Spray Oil Burgess Mushroom Seasoning (Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce can be used instead) Half an onion Valfrutta Salsina (or any other type of pure crushed tomatoes - DON'T use pasta sauce as this will be high in fat and salsa may be high in sugar). Method Prepare the savoury rice in the microwave, by following the manufacturer's instructions. This should take about eight minutes. Whilst the rice is in the microwave, you can be fixing the other ingredients; Coat a large non-stick wok with a few squirts of the spray oil and heat on a high flame; Chop up the onion and add to the wok. To prevent burning the onions, keep topping up with a little water rather than adding more oil. Don't add any seasoning at this point as the lack of oil may cause the seasoning to burn; Once the onions become translucent, add the peeled and sliced mushrooms. You can afford to make the slices quite thick because there'll be smaller bits of mushrooms in the savoury rice which will permeate the meal. Add a teaspoon of garlic granules, salt & pepper plus a good shake of the mushroom seasoning (or Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce); Take the wok away from the heat once the mushrooms start to wilt. When the microwaved rice has finished cooking, add this to the "fried" onions and mushrooms in the wok; Return the wok to the heat and add about two tablespoons of Salsina. Move the mixture around the wok for just another minute or so. This will make enough for two people as a main course or serve four as a starter. The whole thing takes about ten minutes to make from start to finish and will have less than one gram of fat.

Back when I used to smoke a lot of pot, I invented this awesome thing.
I had vicious munchies, so I went into the kitchen and saw: Tortillas, bananas, butter, and peanut-butter morsels (you know, like chocolate chips except they're peanut butter), and actual chocolate chips. I sliced the banana and fried it in a shitload of butter till it was crispy and brown. I put that in the tortilla, dumped a bunch of peanut-butter chips and chocolate chips over it, and rolled it up tight like a burrito. Then I heated up another shitload of butter in the pan, and fried the whole thing till it was golden brown. It tasted just like a pastry, and it was SO. Damn. Good. The Normal Whores Club

I keep my chocolate chip cookies in the fridge, and sometimes dip 'em in orange juice. It tastes really good believe it or not. Just make sure you use the big chewy kind you get at your grocery store's bakery.
If I get the munchies at night, it's usually breakfast food (probabbly from all the years of sobering up at Perkins at 3am, lol). I was playing around with scrambled eggs, and really love making them with the following; - eggs - fresh ground pepper - sea salt - milk - parmesean cheese - chopped fresh or dried parsley then cook them in a little olive oil and butter. I also like making snacks out of turkey, smoked provolone, and hot pepper relish. Just roll em up.

I think I don't snack much.
Oh, I did invent a snack for trail food that is kinda good. They're like healthier rice krispie treats: 1 c. nut butter 1 c. brown rice syrup 6-8 c. puffed rice cereal 1 bar dark chocolate (I like Plantations 100% Dark -- it's pure chocolate, no sugar) Heat the rice syrup and nut butter until it starts to bubble, remove from heat, stir in rice cereal, and press the goo into an oiled pan, about 2 inches deep. Chop the chocolate and spread on top, where it should melt (a minute under the broiler will speed that up). Spread the chocolate even, and chill until firm. Eat. Yum. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I like to take the juice from a can of peaches and poor it over a bowl of saltine crackers. It sounds kinda gross, I admit, but it tastes like a peach cobbler without all the damn work. This one's for you.

To me, almost anything goes with peanut butter. Almost. Bananas on peanut butter sandwich, cinnamon sugar on peanut butter
That and cinnamon goes on everything Cinnamon in almost any food makes it pretty much automatically delicious. Mashed potatoes mixed with corn - I still mix up my food like I did when I was a kid Why not? Peas are pretty good too, but I prefer corn with my potatoes. Ranch dressing on pizza crust...I can't think of anything else right now But I'm hungry now, too HE'S COMING AGAIN
